Calling for Green Army community projects

Applications can now be made for funding under Round One of the Green Army programme.

The Australian Government is looking for projects that will make a real difference to the environment and to local communities.

Green Army project will restore and protect native habitat, attack weed invasive species, clean up creeks and rivers, prevent erosion and conserve our cultural heritage sites

In an outstanding result, the federal election
saw three of the five Tasmanian lower house seats won by the Liberal Party, ending decades of majority Labor domination. Now only the seat of Franklin is held by the ALP, while independent Andrew Wilkie retained Denison.
